A little bit about yourself…
I have been in Hull all my life and first started out at college and University with the idea of having a career in IT. Shortly after starting at University I soon realised that this was not the path for me! Just by chance my father, who worked as a truck driver for Neill & Brown, spoke to Carl Andrew the office manager at the time asking if there were any jobs available. Low and behold 10 years later this coming March I’m still here! Neill & Brown is a challenging and busy place to work, in my time here I have worked in all aspects of the business – and I like to think by putting in hard work I reap the rewards. I have enjoyed working here especially with my colleagues (past & present) who have helped shape me into the person I am today. It’s the people who work here who make it a warm and family orientated work place and I wouldn’t change the past 10 years for the world!
Star likes
Hobby: A lot of people know me for having a large interest in painting models (sci-fi are my favorite) and as Hull prides its artistic endeavors you can always find places who cater to model painting, as well as local clubs which promote the hobby.
Food: This will be a popular choice for most people but I love dining out at the weekend and in Hull you really are spoilt for choice! I would say my favorite is Chinese and I eagerly await Mr. Chu’s reopening!
Film: I am a massive film fan and I often frequent the cinema. The horror genre is my favorite and I would say my favorite film franchise is Alien which has a new entry due out this year.
And, finally, two questions to finish…
Describe your ideal weekend
Starting with a lie in on Saturday morning, pottering about playing games during the day or painting models, dining out on Saturday evening, Sunday out for breakfast then maybe a little trip to the shops then back home to relax!
Who do you most admire?
The people in this world who actually make a difference, such as finding cures for illnesses and the people working to make the world a peaceful place.
