A little bit about yourself…
Originally from London, I moved to Hull via a short 3 year stint in Norfolk. Coming from the Big Smoke, the country life wasn’t for me, so a move to Hull with my then girlfriend was most welcome. I still enjoy spending time in my home town but I have always enjoyed living within the vibrant atmosphere that Hull has to offer. I’ve now been in Hull over 20 years and have a wife and two children who amaze me and make me smile every day.
Star likes
Hull: My favourite part of Hull is the Marina and Humber Street, and love having the countryside right on our doorstep.
Music: ‘Pulp’ have always been a favourite band of mine and remind me of my days clubbing it in Camden.
Film: I love films and have varied taste so it’s difficult to choose one favourite. Among my favourites would be ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and ‘American Beauty’. I also love the film ‘Amélie’, so much so that’s what we named our daughter.
Show: Musical theatre is a big passion of mine, both on stage and in the audience. My favourite show that I’ve performed in was ‘Into the Woods’, as an audience member I loved ‘Sunset Boulevard’.
Place: Castle Campbell in Clackmannanshire, Scotland. My wife and I got married there, but it is also a place that has great family significance and I spent a lot of time there as a child.
And, finally, two questions to finish…
Which Celebrity would you like to meet?
I am huge fan of Stephen Sondheim’s musicals. It would be incredible to be in a room with such a creative force. Oh, and to have a vocal masterclass with him would be amazing!
What is your ideal weekend?
My ideal weekend would consist of going out for a long walk with my family, before getting a babysitter in and going out for a meal with friends followed by a trip to the theatre.
