Neill & Brown Global Logistics has added a new link to the North Sea wind turbine supply chain that will also help general exporters.
The Hull-based company and Lincolnshire Chamber patron is now providing a dedicated abnormal load escort service for the transportation of wind turbine parts to the Humber and ports around the country.
In addition, the service is aimed at companies looking for an economical, express service for part container loads of up to five Euro-pallets to the Continent and beyond.
Peter Brown, managing director, said that a modern technically advanced logistics service was vital in helping all businesses with the movement of goods, adding that wind farms were offering special opportunities.
“We want to tune into the continuing development of offshore wind that will present over the coming years,” he said. “Our in-house abnormal loads service will enhance our offering in terms of reliability and efficiency.
“Our experience in shipping, coupled with our local knowledge, makes us ideally placed to work with large new energy companies and those throughout the supply chain.”
Mr Brown said that his company was supporting the Humber-wide effort to ensure the region’s businesses fully benefited from renewable energy developments.
Through its partnership with World Trade Centre Hull & Humber, Neill & Brown is one of a group of companies that is working hard to create the conditions to help supply chain companies prepare and make the most of the potential opportunities.
